Guidelines for options trading

Abandon all hope ye who enter here. Options trading is a brutal, unforgiving hobby. Follow these guidelines to make it a little less so.

Don't be greedy

Take profits lower than you’d like if the underlying is moving the wrong direction.

Espeically if you’re down. You aren’t in it to “win” the position back.

Theta love/hate

Longer expirations come with much more risk and exposure to general market conditions along with those higher rewards.

Never forget ASAN.

Beware earnings calls

Especially for growth stocks. Perfection is required for it to not dive.
